Honest Bog
My awesome SIL Allison tagged me for an honest blog post. The rules include telling you 10 honest things about myself. Thanks Alli, I'll try my best at being completely honest in this post.
1) I hate exercising. I never seem to loose any weight and it hurts more than I think it should. With that said, I am DETERMINED to exercise even though I hate it.
2) It bugs me when people only go to the first hour of church and then go home for no reason at all.
3) I pinch my pennies like a scrooge. Case in point, I've been using shortening to grease my pans when cooking because I want to prove to myself that I can live without PAM.
4) Christmas time is my favorite time of the year because of awesome memories. It's extra special because Brandon proposed to me on Christmas day. I love you so much honey!
5)I love to make homemade meals for my hubby. We rarely eat out or buy pre-made food.
6) I don't like driving. I'm always paranoid that I'm going to get in an accident.
7) It makes me so sad to hear about people who have problems with pornography. Bran came home last night from a meeting with the Bishop were he said that our ward has such a problem with pornography. My heart aches for those ensnared in this trap. What a sad, sad problem.
8) I abhor the neighbor boys in our apartment complex. Today when I opened Peter's window I found some "presents" from them. Really boys, spit wads are so gross. Sometimes I wish I could teach those kids a lesson or two.
9) I am nervous about Brandon graduating in February because I don't know where his next job will take us.
10) I once called 911 when I was little because my sister Amy bit my arm. LOL, yep, I got in BIG trouble. Especially when the cops came to our door just to make sure that all of us were okay because they could hear crying in the background.
So there you go. I tag: Emily G., Mari, Lisa J. Amber, Becky,Heidi, and Marynika.

1 year appointment
Peter and I journey out into the wide, wide world yesterday to pay a visit to Peter's AWESOME doctor - Dr. Arnold. Since it was Peter's 1 year appointment he only had to have one shot. I was so happy about that. Peter absolutely loved the Bert band-aid that they gave to him. and he loved showing it to Papa when he got home later that night. In other news, my sweet sista' is going to have her baby within 20 or so days!!! Wahoo! I wish I had a zillion bucks to send her so she could buy everything she ever wanted for her baby (Ella). Alas, I don't, but I did make her a cute baby mobile. I didn't get a picture of it before sending it off, so hopefully she'll send me one once she has it assembled (wink, wink Lisa).

#1 for Peter
If I were a better writter I would express myself the same way as this blog author did. Having Peter turn 1 has been a BIG reality check for me. Okay, now to move on.
We had a nice morning and early afternoon together as a family. It was nice that Brandon was able to take the day off work to be with us. I think it would be so awesome if he could always take off for the kids b-days, but I guess we'll have to see how that goes.
After Peter took a catnap in the afternoon (30 mintues) we had a visit from Grandpa and Grandma Thomas. They were so generous to Peter and he got a new outfit and a stuffed Cookie Monster. Peter absolutly adores the eyes on Cookie Monster.

Grandpa also let Peter play with his cell phone that has all sorts of fun "touch" games on it. Peter was cautious at first, but by the end of the visit he was having a blast with that phone.

For dinner we had Twice Baked Potates and Jello. THEN, I made him a little mini cake for him to enjoy. It was hilarious to see him eat it. I made a white cake for him because I knew chocloate would make him sick and it would be such a mess if it accidently got on the carpet.

At first he had no idea what to do with the cake, so Bran and I had to help him a little bit. Once he got the idea he really had a blast.

Then it was off to the warm bath to get all cleaned off. Afterwards, he opened his presents. He got a toy cell phone (from the Dollar Store), a Tonka Bulldozer, and a toy hammer with nails that he can pound down. It was so much fun watching him rip the wrapping paper to get to the "goods".

Then it was off to bed for the little boy. Today we also had a few more b-day celebrations. We went to Cold Stone and got him his free birthday icecream. It was delicious (Raspberry Sorbet with mini chocolate chips) and Peter ate more than I thought he would.

We also tried going to the Discovery Park in AF and playing, but there were just too many BIG kids for him to enjoy it since he can't walk on his own yet. Alas. At least there is always next year.
So, Peter had a wonderful birthday full of fun and joy. Thank you all for sending him b-day wishes, calling him on the phone, and visiting. We love you all so much!

All about Halloween
Our October Holiday was so much fun this year! It was so nice NOT to be 9 months pregnant. Anyhow, these pictures are in reverse order in how we spent our day, so I'll explain them to you in reverse order as well.
We finished off the evening with a family get together at Brandon's parents. It was so darling to see all three of the babies dressed up! Peter was Pooh bear dressed up as a bumble bee, Hailey was a pumpkin, and Morgan was an octopus. You were soooo cute Morgan! We were all excited that the babies were good natured during their photo shoot. Yea!

Before that party we went to our wards trunk or treat event. Let me just say that I LOVE TRUNK OR TREATING. It was so nice to go around so quickly and get candy. Plus it was fun seeing so many ward members dress up. Peter was great and he held onto his pumpkin bucket the whole time we were going around. It was so cute.
Earlier than that we went down to my parents house in Payson to show Grandma Peter and his costume. Sorry Grandpa and Alex that we missed you while we were there. We had fun regardless. We took Peter outside and got some pictures of him sitting in the leaves as well as sitting on the tractor that my Dad borrowed from work. It was such a lot of fun.
Our day started at home with me taking a picture of Peter and his little pumpkin. This is his 2nd pumpkin because his 1st one got smashed by the hooligan kids that live around here (I was so upset about that). Anyway, I got adventurous one day and let Peter loose with craft paint. He loved every second I let him do it and he got a cute, very unique, pumpkin.
I also can't forget to mention that Peter and I spent a couple hours at Papa's work showing all his coworkers cute little Peter. We had such a blast and every time we would leave to go see someone else Peter would wave bye bye. It was darling of course.
