I appreciate

I found this post of my favorite pregnant lady website today. I really liked it.

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As infants &children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because, WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING! We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day.And we were O.K. We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers!, no Internet or chat rooms........ WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them! We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them! Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

32 week appointment

Baby and I had our 32 week appointment yesterday. Everything went smoothly and the baby is now in the "head down" position. I was so glad to hear that. No wonder I've felt a lot more pressure down there the last week or so.

Baby is also measuring 34mm and his heartrate was 135bpm. It sounds like that is normal, but who am I to know for sure. I'm now to the every 2 weeks appointment stage. Yippee - time is flying by so quickly now. I finished up my nursery decor items last night. Whew, what a relief to have that done. Now to get them up on the walls.

Baby loves to kick and twist around multiple times a day now. I have to contain my laughter when I'm here at work for fear my clients would think I am laughing at them. Feeling the baby is the best thing ever! I am eagerly counting down to his arrival date.

Photo Tag

Thanks Alli for tagging me on this one. I had a blast doing it.

The Rules are that there is
NO CLEANING!!!! We want to see how you really live!

1. The Closet

Thankfully it's not too dirty

2. Kitchen Sink

Uncleaned as promised. The plastic container
has been in there all week.

3. Toilet

This is my bathroom. I love my little flowers
sitting on top. Thankfully I cleaned
this earlier in the week.

4.Laundry Room

I'm so thankful these have a room of their
own instead of being in the kitchen like
our last apartment.

5. Pets/Kids

Our little one will be here soon. Bran double dared me to take
a pix of my tummy but I knew that was TMI for all of you.

6. Place I would like to go

Someday I want Brandon to take me to Japan.
That's where he served his mission.

7. Kitchen Fridge

It's so full right now that I can hardly stand it.

8. Self Portrait

Gotta love the Saturday look.

9. Favorite Room

I don't have a favorite room.
I'm hoping the baby's room will be once
I get everything decorated and such.

10. Shoes

These are my favorite right now because they
offer me great support and I can't
see my awful swollen feet when I wear them.

I can't believe I'm to the point

Where I can no longer reach my toes. Yikes! Last night my favorite person in the whole world willingly cut my toenails for me. Oh relief. It's so sad not to be able to do these things myself now. I honestly never thought that I would get to this point.

One of my sweet clients brought me a rose yesterday. It's so beautiful and fragrant. It reminds me of the beauty each day holds for me.

Baby advice

It's now countdown time....I've only got 10 weeks left. Yahoo! As I prepare for our little bundle of joy I can't help but think that there are so many things that I have left to learn. So here's a shout out for anyone/everyone to give me their advice. Here are a few questions to get you thinking.

(1)What do you wish you had known before your baby arrived that would have saved your sanity.
(2)What product made your life easier for you once the baby was here.

Any other advice or recommendations are gladly welcome these were just the ones that came to my mind quickly.
