Papa's birthday

Brandon turned 35 this week. The boys were so thrilled to be able to get him this Dr Who Lego set. We bought it a few weeks before his birthday and every day they were so anxious to open it. Then, Brandon had to go in for a full day of work so they couldn't put it together until after he got home. It was pretty tragic. It is actually a really neat set. It's now a fancy nick-knack in Daddy's office, but the boys are thrilled that they can go play with it when we next go to his office.

In addition to the lego set, we also got Papa a work shirt and a t-shirt.

Fieldtrip Friday

We should have been home working on our workbooks and structured reading materials. But, instead, we made today a field trip Friday. We met our favorite friends at the Bean Museum at BYU and explored around for a little while. Then, when the kiddies were getting bored we zipped up to the Rock Canyon Park and let the kids run wild for an hour. Days like today are treasured moments in time for this homeschooling mommy.

Epic trip to St George

We tagged along with the hubby, who had meetings in St George. I finally feel fairly comfortable getting myself around this town, so the boys and I had a wonderful time when Dad was occupied. When he wasn't, we had a nice time as a family.

Conference Cookies

At our weekly trip to the library Peter picked out a book all about cookies and he asked me if we could make some. Peter picked the one on top, Luke picked the one on bottom. I decided it would be a fun activity to do during Conference. I gathered up the supplies at Walmart, and JoAnn's and we got to work. The didn't turn out as beautiful as the pictures - I had a difficult time getting the icing runny enough. But, it did turn out and we had fun doing it.

I also managed to capture the boys sitting together watching a few moments of Conference. It was pretty cute. I have been a little stressed about Luke and his feelings regarding anything spiritual, so this was a mini miracle for me.

Luke goes to preschool

We try and walk Luke to preschool whenever the weather is good. This morning though, I was fed up and needed a walk, so we went even though it was raining really good. Luke still hates going to school in the morning. I do a whole lot of bribing, and when that doesn't work I force him. Ugh, I am looking forward to preschool being over within a month or so. Thankfully, he does have fun once he gets there. It's hard to imagine teaching him Kindergarten next school year. He has just gotten big so fast.
