Jenny's House

Earlier this month my friend reached out to me to ask if I would be interested in cleaning her house. She was moving out and she was just looking for someone to come in and take care of the worst parts. The move was a bit unexpected and they were in a rush to get out of there and on to their next adventure.

So, I made it work out and for a week I spent 3 or so hours there every day. I was pretty proud of how great the pictures of the house look. I took the job of cleaning very seriously. She even had me shampoo carpets so all those clean carpets are my hard work.  I hope someone amazing gets the house. I have so many fond memories of homeschool projects, cub scout projects, girl nights, and many moments of chit chatting in that kitchen. Change is never fun and I already miss Jenny lots.

Peters Vaccination

Peter is now vaccinated! I am so glad to have this behind us. We are lucky because we were able to get his done at our local Smith's. It was so close to home. I have been getting worried about the Delta varient and how it is infecting so many people. Now, Peter's risk of catching it will be reduced.

He got the Pfiser vaccine. His first dose left him really, really tired for a few days. We are both hoping this one won't be so bad....especially because he is leaving for a family reunion soon. As much as he complained about getting it done he was awesome when the time came. I didn't even go in with him. He is getting to be a confident teenager.

*update
Peter was completely exhausted the day after his vaccination. His body hurt and he was so, so tired. He laid in bed the entire day and hardly ate any food. I hope he feels better soon.

Magformer fun

This past Friday I got out the magformers when Grace and Tiber were over. They loved them! We built cars, houses, a swimming pool, and a really tall diving board.

Then, Luke got interested in them too. Now, he is asking for more. He and I spent some time making some really cool things. It is SO much fun seeing him get excited. I also recently picked up a new book from the library written by Brandon Mull. It's called Spirit Animals. Luke has read 3 chapters now and he likes it. I'm so glad.

July Adventure

At the beginning of the month we had this happen. It took a few weeks to find someone that was willing to fix it for a reasonable amount. I wasn't willing to pay $500 to get it repaired. Thank goodness I found Jeff Wallentine. He gave me a great deal and I will use him again if I have problems. It helps that he lives here in Springville.

Harry Potter time

I bought Peter 2 bigger lego sets recently. They are both Harry Potter ones. I was hoping I could save them for school in August. Really, what was I thinking. He built them immediatly. Aunt Amy helped with the first one, and his friend James helped with the second.

What we eat

....and here are the groceries for the next two weeks. Luke is on a hot dog eating kick. I am trying to eat more fruits and veggies. Peter will probably be upset I didn't buy chips.
