Cemetery visits

The highlight of the week was going with Amy to the local cemeteries to find our ancestors. I have to admit, that it was a very big relief to see that Larry's family finally got him a headstone. I wish it wouldn't be place so weirdly, but uneven ground never gives you exactly what you want. I's so glad we were able to go. 

I also spent two different days serving in the temple. It was beautiful and amazing. I also had a neighbor ask if I would watch their four little boys for a little while. It was fun having silly tiny humans in the house again. It took a bit for the baby to get used to me, but we all survived. 

I also hosted a fantastic Jr Fairboard board meeting this week. We have been meeting monthly, and it's been such a good thing. The kids are getting to know each other before fair week - which I consider a good thing. I am so grateful for each one of these great kids. 

New office

Things are getting real for my job being finished at the old High school. I worked on finishing up the last few things I needed to do, and then transferred my boxes to my new office. The dynamic will be WAY different, but I am hopeful it will be enjoyable. 

One downside to my new office is that I won't have any windows. So, this plant came home with me permanently. Originally, Staci Little brought it to me only so it could enjoy some sun. Then, during the last year it gradually became my plant. We almost killed it over Christmas break when Staci forgot to take it home - but with a little TLC we managed to bring it back from the brink of death. 

Recap

Tis the season for doing all things volunteer for the fair. I am a little bit worried that I won't have enough people to help, and somehow the directors will decide to 'fire' me. But, that's probably me just being dramatic. 

The school had their annual Spring showcase. It's a community event where parents/family/community can come and see projects that the kids have been working on all year. These are some of my favorites. The vase above was made my my friends daughter. 

I don't know this student, but I was in awe of her design. It looks amazing. I think they are coasters, but I think it would be cool to make a wall hanging. 

The cool chair was designed and made by one of my Jr Fairboard members. I hope she enters it into the fair.

Both the lizard and this sun were made by Hazel, Larry's daughter. 

I think this angler fish was made by and advance student. How else would you know how to make all of those difficult welds. 

A couple friends and I went to a pottery night in Orem on Friday. This is the cute octopus that I decided to carve into my plate. I hope it turns out adorable once it has been fired. 

When I was done at the temple last night I found this on my car. A whole lot of cars had the same thing. It was pretty amazing to have someone do such a thing for some many people. I bet they made 100 or so.
