Peter is now 13!

This boy turned 13 at the beginning of the month. He was so excited about his birthday! Over the years he has always been involved in something big. I remember his being into Toy Story, then Star Wars, then Harry Potter, Fortnite, and now Dungeons and Dragons. It makes is super easy to buy him birthday gifts. The one requirement he had was a triple layer chocolate cake. We were going to make it together, but in the end it was mostly me that put it together. He was pretty happy to drizzle food coloring on the top. We all enjoyed the cake for a few days. Peter also spent part of the day with Brandon at the movies. It was a great day all around. 

A different kind of Thanksgiving

 

The boys and I have been quite sick for the past week or so. We have all been quite miserable. As a result, we did not have our traditional Thanksgiving festivities. I wasn't even sure if we should celebrate at all. Then my neighbor volunteered to bring over some turkey and I went to the store and quickly got stuffing. In the end, it turned out really good! We, of course, ate too much. These boys keep me going. Luke wrote this funny poem about his love for Thanksgiving turkey. 

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is nice

The turkey is good

Instead of pie

We got cookies, not baked.

 

I want more turkey

But alas, there is no turkey left

So, I am sad
