Randomness
Sorting books at the library is SO entertaining. I giggle more on my shifts here then on most days. I think next week I'll take $5 in cash so I can buy a few books I've had my eye on (not the ones shown below).

Peter's teeth and other stuff
It's that time in Peter's orthodontic treatment that we evaluate his wisdom teeth. As suspected, they are causing issues, so out they come. We'll be heading over to get that taken care of in a few weeks. Peter has already watched several youtube videos about the process. He knows all about it, and I want to stay blissfully ignorant.
His orthodontist has been very impressed with the speed at which Peter's teeth have moved. He is very obedient and responsible about keeping his rubber bands in. I am thankful about that. I wonder if Peter will be able to be done with braces by this summer.
I worked at the library book sale this week. It's so much fun to see people buying the books that were donated to the library for this even. It's been a lot of fun to work closely with one of the main librarians at the library. She is fabulous. There are also some other "Friends of the Library" volunteers that I am getting to know. There are so many good people everywhere, and I'm glad I get to know some of them.
I finished off the week being able to donate blood. It's been several months since I've done so because I've been taking an iron supplement to elevate my iron levels. All the hard work paid off when the little machine said my iron level was 13. I was very happy about it.

At the library
For the past month I've been volunteering at the library. They needed someone to sort all the donated books into different book sections in preparation for the triannual book sale that they have. It's been so much fun to see all the different books that come in. Today these were gems that I found. There is always something new/interesting to see. Today there were also a lot of books that made me giggle.

Spring is coming
I can sense that spring is coming soon. I spent last Saturday up in my tree pruning. It looks so much better. I really hope that I'll get a large crop of plums this year.
Luke and I have been working on one of his school assignments. It's forcing us to get out into nature and enjoy time together. We've had a lot of fun doing it. I am thankful for a job that lets me be with the kids when they get home from school. It makes being a momma so much easier when I can be there for my boys.

Vday
The boys always look forward to our special valentines day dinner. This year was so fun! The boys are getting so kind to their "old" momma. They actually didn't complain when I wanted a picture all together. I also took them to Macey's (the grocery store) afterward and had them pick out Vday gifts to give me. Luke got me swedish fish and Peter got me flowers. It was super nice night.

A new project
In January I decided to make washcloths for the ladies that I minster to, and my companion. Here is the one for February.
I have the January ones done already. I have to make three each month. I think it would be fun to also make me a set too. I'm planning on doing a different color each month.
So far I want to do:
January - blue
February - pink
March - green
April - yellow
May - purple
June - orange
July - red
I guess we'll have to see what other colors Walmart has to finish off the year.
On Tuesday night Luke told me about an assignment that he needed to turn in on Thursday morning. His Utah Studies teacher has the class do 4 extension activities throughout the school semester. Luke decided it would be best to go to a museum. So, we went to the BYU museum of people and cultures. They are a very, very small museum. Like the size of the bottom floor of my house. Luke was so annoyed when we went on Wednesday. I reassured him that we wouldn't be in there for longer than 15 minutes. Sure enough, it didn't even take us 15 minutes. They had some really cool artifacts from the Provo tabernacle (now the City Center temple) Granted, Luke like the club and ax best. I was just glad we were able to get the assignment done with such short notice.

My new job
I feel so grateful, I started a new job this week! I work with 5 other women making high quality (expensive) yogurt.
It's really fun to work in a commercial kitchen. There are so many expensive pieces of equipment. The kitchen even has a walk in refrigerator. I've learned a lot about cross contamination. We have to be very careful not to mix dishes without completely sanitizing them. We also have to be very careful when we are using any kind of coconut flavorings because so many people have severe nut allergies. Here is me on my first day of work.
Since we are stirring and mixing all day long it's easy to get dirty. So, I don't have to wear fancy clothes. It's so nice. I think my favorite part of the job is seeing the milk delivered from the dairy (from that mornings milking), and then seeing yogurt made a few hours later. It's very satisfying.

Interviews
Job searching has been more difficult then I thought it would be. Still no job offer, but I keep working hard and applying to many different companies. These are the companies that I have had an in-person interview with:
Cascade Family Dental
Liberty Press
Backstage Library Works
Country View Assisted Living
Ashford Assisted Living
Milk Honey Yogurt
Provo City Center Temple (Garden staff)
I also have an in-person interview for Feb. 6th with a company at the Provo airport that flies cargo for UPS and UPSP. I hope something will come up soon that will be the perfect place for me. The silver lining this week is that I figured out how fast I can type during a pre-interview test. 70wpm under stress. LOL. I'll take that.
