I feel very lucky to have my sister Amy. She is such a wonderful Aunt to my kids, plus she comes over once a week to help me work on my garden. This year she has grown over 100 plants for me and we're still not done planting. I love you Amy and appreciate all you do for me and the kids.
A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to make a pink pig pinata just for fun. I'd never made one before and I thought it would be a fun thing to do. Well, I learned that it takes a super de' duper long time to have the paste dry. I mean seriously, it would take well over a day to dry each layer. So...eventually we got the pig finished and Peter was able to paint it pink. It now sits on our kitchen table looking cute when Luke isn't throwing it across the kitchen floor.
Shortly after we moved into our home we decided that we should have a extended family game night once a month with the Thomas side. It's been a blast starting this new tradition and I wonder if we will ever run out of games. Brandon used to have a serious addiction when it came to buying games. This past month Aunt Allison was on the winning team for every single game we played. It was so much fun! We are planning on having a water game night sometime this summer. I am already looking forward to it and can't wait to see who wins the games I come up with. I've learned that if you want to do something fun or start a new tradition just stop procrastinating and do it because you'll have more fun then you even thought possible.
This month my sister Lisa is also moving back to Utah after living in both Florida and Oklahoma for the past couple of years. I can't tell you how excited I am to have her back. Sisters really are the best!

A lovely visit
Recently my Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit the family for a few days. They don't get up this way very often and I took the boys over to visit them. Later that week I managed to capture these precious photos of them with the boys. This was the first time Luke had met his Great-Grandma and he loved her so much! I think part of it was the cookies she kept feeding him :-) At times I wish Grandma lived closer, but I know she is happy living up in the 'hills' of Monticello.

Baptism Day
I ran across this picture today while preparing for Sharing Time(we are talking about baptism). It's a picture of me and my Dad on the day I was baptized. I love this picture and I'm so glad my Mom gave me a copy of it.

Spiderman
This past week I finally decided it was time to try and potty train Peter (he is 3.5 yrs old). There have been many accidents, but I'm proud to say that he filled up his potty chart within a week and he got this special spiderman costume when it was all full. He loves it so much!

It's not all fun and games
Last week we had a RS Weekday Meeting and the presenter talked about how facebook and blogs distort reality because nobody posts things that are negative. I got to thinking about how I don't frequently post things that I'm worried about. So, to give you a good glimpse into my current list of "worries" I'm going to post them here. That way you'll realize that I am human and I don't live in a world with rose colored glasses.
I am worried about:
-Peter learning how to use the potty
-Luke's biting and screaming problems
-Getting more Mom's included in our neighborhood playgroup
-Teaching Sharing Time for the month of May
-Spending money for Mothers day gifts
-Getting permission slips from the Activity Day Girls for day camp in June
-Our un-beautiful yard
-My dirty washing machine
-Family members not having jobs
-Fitting in in our neighborhood/ward

Dentist trip
This week Brandon and I took both the boys to get their teeth cleaned at the dentist. I was very impressed with Luke. He did a fantastic job and he loved getting a new toothbrush.
Then yesterday Brandon and I drove up the canyon by our home and found the local Cub Scout Day Camp (I will taking our Activity Day Girls up there this summer). We spent almost an hour looking around at things and letting the boys run around. Peter loved it so much! The Camp looked a little cheezy to me, but Brandon said that's what boys love. Oh gag, what am I in for...
Pardon my attire. I don't do much with myself after we get home from church :'-)

First things for Lukie
This week Luke has done a lot of first things. For instance, at the beginning on the week he created his first drawing. He took a black pen to a tithing envelope and made a beautiful drawing (at least it is to me). Yep, I kept it and it's going in his baby book. He also figured out how to turn on the bath water, scoot a chair from the kitchen table to the pantry, and bite his brother (Peter has teeth marks on his back to prove it). Heaven help me to survive this kid! LOL.

Easter
Easter is a pretty low key event here at our house. On Saturday I gave all the boys a few things. Peter was so excited to receive goldfish crackers and I was just glad he didn't put two and two together and realize those crackers were the same ones he was snacking on the day before - LOL.
Luke got pictures of Jesus, President Monson, and the Mt. Timp temple. I laminated them so he can slobber on them as much as he wants and I can just wipe it off. Both boys also got seeds. Peter got sunflowers and Luke got mini pumpkins. I am probably way more excited then they are to get them planted.
Later in the day we spent time with our Thomas grandparents. The boys enjoyed a little Easter Egg hunt and Luke loved the one and only egg he found. LOL. I promise next year buddy it will be better for you.

Happy Sunshine
We've had some very nice sunny days this week, so I've taken the boys out to the local park to enjoy the fresh air. Peter was so excited when I told him that he could take his toys with us today. He loves his Toy Story toys so much and he is constantly asking me if he can take a toy along with us to places (church, Grandparents, store, gas station, library, etc). One of his favorite bedtime stories I tell him is about how all his toys went to the park with a little boy named Peter and they all got to swing. Hehe. Pretty fun stuff. We also enjoyed a nice picnic lunch in the backyard today. Luke got his first taste of sandy graham cracker. Silly kid seemed to enjoy it so I didn't take it away.
