Our fun afternoon

Peter and I had a fun time enjoying a Relief Society Activity with the sweet sisters over at the Atrium (the Senior community in our apartment complex). We talked about writing our own personal histories. It was a blast! Some of these ladies make me laugh so hard. Especially Jo.

Spure of the moment fun

Sometimes spontanaity creates the most fun. Earlier today my Mom and brother Alex came to "hang" at our house for a couple hours. We were all having so much fun that we decided to have a family dinner together and then do Family Night too. It turned out to be such a lot of fun. I made 2 large dishes of beef pot pie and Mom made chocolate chip cookies. For Family Night we did Lesson #2 in the nursery manual. We all had a blast coloring our pictures and making mobiles.

The way we celebrate

Here at the Thomas house we celebrate almost every holiday by eating something Chocolate. Yep, it's true, we are chocolate addicts. I blame it all on my in-laws :-)

This is Brandon eating a piece of shortbread with a creamy chocolate glaze on top. Oh my, it was absolutely delicious. Bring on more holidays....I need more chocolate!

A happy burn

While curling my hair yesterday I accidentally slipped with the curling iron and burnt my arm. After the initial pain of the burn I looked down and noticed the burn looks like a laughing smile. Pretty funny don't ya think. I look at it a million times a day and chuckle. Life is funny that way. Even something painful can cause you to laugh.

It's been too long

Life is busy. Don't know why, but my days just seem to slip away from me. I've decided to recommit myself to updating my blog more often, a lot more often. My totally awesome friends Melissa and Katrina update almost daily. If they can do it, I can do it. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

So here's a fun review of some of the things we've been up to.

This here is Peter in his new pair of pajamas. Doesn't he look cute. These are his first 2 piece jammies. I was so happy to find them on sale at Walmart for $3. Thank You Walmart.

This is all the "loot" I bought on our pre-Valentines date shopping spree. Who need flowers and candy when you can get a bunch of other stuff for the same price. I love all of it lots, lots, and lots.

This is Brandon and me after our pre-Valentines date. I'm happy and he's just plain ol' tired. Shopping, i guess, isn't his 'thang.

This is our nice downstairs neighbor boy. He was working on a science project for school and he needed pictures taken of his project. It was fun helping him and his Mother (the parents always end up doing the bulk of the project) out. They are from Korea.

This is Peter doing what Peter loves best. Pounding on the computer keyboard. I'll never figure out why babies love keyboards so much. Guess it's because they shouldn't be playing on them.

This is us in front of our Christmas tree this year. I loved out tree. Remind me to put the red bows up every year.

This is Peter, my happy, healthy 15 month old baby. He fills up my days with a lot of sunshine and fun.

Happy Cards

Today I got together with some sweet ladies and made these. I can't believe they actually turned out pretty cute. I had a blast chatting and laughing while trying to keep Peter contained too. It's amazing how many things one mommy can juggle.

Flowers

When Brandon opened the door on his way to work this morning he saw these. A beautiful bouquet of white, pink, and red carnations was just what I needed today. Someone dropped them off on my doorstep with a sweet note that said: "a few of your friends just wanted you to know that we are thinking about you. You are doing a wonderful job with your calling!"

Sweet Huh. I love them so much! My entire kitchen smells like carnations. Mmmm, happiness. Thank you to my sweet friends - whoever you are. I feel so loved!

Dad T

This is my Father-in-law Dave. Doesn't he look awesome in his firefighting gear. I feel so safe knowing that he's just a block away serving the people of Pleasant Grove. Although I've never had to call him to rescue me or Peter, I'm just so thankful glad knowing that he would be here in a flash if we needed him. Love ya Dad!

Santa

We finally managed to track down the pictures we got taken at our ward Christmas party. I realize that was "ages" ago, but they turned out so cute that I had to share.

Peter

I look at him and wonder why he has to grow up so fast. My baby is now 14 months old.
